San Diego International Auto Show

The second largest auto show in California returns to ring in the new year. The San Diego International Auto Show will feature over 400 new car models, the latest automobile products, exotic rides, and much more. Test drive vehicles from a wide range of manufacturers, spanning all makes and models from Acura to Ferrari. One of the most exciting January events is open 10 am to 9 pm on and Sunday and 10 am to 7 pm on Monday with tickets ranging from eight dollars to twelve dollars.

With the Chargers season behind us (possibly their final in San Diego), finding local sports entertainment until the Padres return in April is a tricky task. Luckily for San Diego residents, the Gulls are back for another season of intense action at the Valley View Sports Area. The San Diego Gulls are becoming a must-see event in town as the team is playing exciting, fast-paced hockey while entering the stretch run towards the AHL Playoffs.
The Gulls have four home games in January, with great promotions highlighting a number of the match ups. Head over to nearby Bay City Brewing before the first game of 2017 for great deals at the Official PreParty. Don’t stay too long, however, as $2.00 beers will be flowing through the end of the first intermission. Later in the month, bring the kids out for Star Wars Night against the rival San Jose Barracuda and once again take advantage of unbeatable deals on drinks throughout the stadium.

For food lovers everywhere, January brings one of the most exciting events of the year. The biannual San Diego Restaurant Week kicks off for the first time in 2017 on Sunday the 15th. The most delicious of the January events features 8 days of deals at 180 restaurants around the county.
Enjoy two-course lunches or three-course dinners at luxury restaurants such as Top of the Market in downtown San Diego, Tom Ham’s Lighthouse in Point Loma, and Pamplemousse Grille in Solana Beach. The 13th year of San Diego Restaurant Week promises to be one of the best.

Farmer’s Insurance Open

There aren’t many places around the world that can host a golf tournament in January, but in San Diego, weather is never an issue. One of the most breathtaking courses in the country, Torrey Pines Golf Club in La Jolla, will be the destination for a number of the world’s top golfers for a weekend that is sure to be one to remember.
Seven-time champion, Tiger Woods, is among the golfers that are expected to play in the tournament, along with a number of other big names including Phil Mickelson, Jason Day, and defending champion Brandt Snedeker. The exciting action on the course will be matched by beautiful ocean views and an outstanding atmosphere in the fan-village.
